As we reflect on the completion of our 6th week caring for the homeless, it is critical that we also recognize our volunteers who made this mission possible. Whether someone washed the clothing of the homeless or took on the more complicated task of organizing and training, we witnessed God using each and every one of us in exactly the way He intended.

Jesus was the ultimate “Selfless Servant”. He was disinterested in any rewards. He sought no recognition from his fellow travelers. He did good works with humbleness, and solely to do His Father’s bidding. Without any doubt, Jesus knew who He served, and by whom His reward would be intimately given.

Leading up to, and during Mcrest week, we witnessed our own Selfless Servants, quietly and faithfully putting the needs of others before the needs of their selves. Their contributions were provided silently and humbly, and their ego’s set aside in order to witness God’s love to others.

We thank each and every one of you. Together, God worked through us as One.
